Refund Policy

I sell Polychrome as Limestone Web Studio, a sole proprietorship in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, through Gumroad. Ask about a refund at [email protected].

Try it before you buy

Polychrome offers a free seven-day trial on Windows and Mac, so you can build and print plates from your own pictures before you pay. Because you can try it first, sales are final, and I do not refund a purchase because you changed your mind.

If it doesn't work on your computer, email me and I'll help, with a fix or a straight answer.

Bought before version 1.1.1 came out? Your purchase keeps the seven-day refund it was sold with: ask within seven days of buying and I will give your money back, no reason needed.

You can also print the two example plates without a licence or a trial.

How to ask for a refund you are owed

Reply to your Gumroad receipt, or write to [email protected] from the address you bought with, and say which refund you are asking for. I aim to answer within two business days.

Gumroad takes the payment, so Gumroad returns it, usually to the card or account you paid with. How long it takes to appear is up to your bank.

What a refund means for your licence

A refund ends your licence. Please stop using Polychrome and delete it.

Polychrome 1.1.0 and later check for this. During the first weeks after you activate, the app downloads a public list of refunded licences from polychrome3d.com. The list holds no names or email addresses, and the request sends nothing about you. A licence on that list stops building plates the next time the app checks. I also refuse further activations of a refunded key, so it cannot be activated again or on another computer.

Using Polychrome after a refund is a breach of the Terms of Use.

Yearly licences

A yearly commercial licence can be cancelled at any time from your Gumroad account. Cancelling stops the next payment; it does not refund the year you are in.

Nothing here takes away rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2002 (Ontario) or other consumer law that applies to you.
